With high-precision measurement technology for cyclization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in the consumer sector, the first part of the EET battery testing center at the Energy Campus in Nuremberg is now in operation. This enables the creation of detailed electrical and thermal cell models and the investigation of service life under different load scenarios. A particular focus is on the scattering of model parameters and the accelerated generation of ageing data using high-precision measurement methods.

In the coming year, the expansion of testing capacities for extensive series analyses and an increase in cell capacities, particularly for the automotive and stationary sectors, are on the agenda. Suitable testing capacities will be created at the Erlangen site for this purpose.
